Play the lottery

How winners are chosen

Each Friday at 8pm, seven ticket numbers are drawn at random from all valid entries for that week. The draw uses a computer random number generator and is witnessed by two people, at least one of whom is a trustee and neither of whom can win. A record of every draw is kept for at least three years and is sent to Perth & Kinross Council in our lottery returns.

The first number drawn wins £250, the second wins £50 and the next five each win £10. Each ticket can win only one prize per draw.

The first draw takes place on Friday 6 November 2026 at 8pm.

Privacy and naming winners

We publish winning ticket numbers and the general area of each winner (for example “a player in Kinross”). We only publish a winner’s name, town or photograph if they have told us in writing that they are happy for us to do so.

How to claim a prize

You do not need to claim. We email every winner by 12 noon on the Monday after the draw, confirm age and identity, and pay the prize by bank transfer within 14 days of the draw.

If we cannot reach you, we will try again by email and post. Prizes must be claimed within 180 days of the draw. Any prize still unclaimed after 180 days is applied to the charitable purposes of Girlguiding Tay and Ochils. Full details are in the Lottery Rules.

Think you have won but have not heard from us? Email [email protected] with your name and ticket number.
